The Police Services Board (PSB) was established by By-law 45-2009, passed September 22, 2009, being a three member board comprised of the Mayor, a Community representative appointed by the Council and a provincial appointee.

At the Council meeting held October 27, 2009, Council appointed Mr. Colin Cope as their community representative to the PSB via Resolution #11.
